Cognitive reframing helps carers of patients with dementia
2011-11-21Prof. Dr. Myrra Vernooij Dassen (head of the Alzheimer Centrum Nijmegen) and Dr. Irena Draskovic (researcher) have written a review together with Jenny McCleery en Murna Downs, about the applicability of cognitive reframing in carers of patients with dementia.
Cognitive reframing turns out to have positive effects on carers: it lowers anxiety, reduces stress and lowers the change for depression.
